Scenic hike from Unternberg to Außeraigen

Opis

From the Wexl Arena parking lot, it goes downhill towards Unternberg. From the chapel right by the road, follow the signposted path towards Passkapelle. From here, turn right towards Hottmansgraben (Aspang). This path soon splits; keep right towards the former Reithofer inn, where the Ungersböck family now runs the mountain cheese dairy. From Friday to Sunday there is farm shop sales and a place to stop. From here, go back about 100 meters the same way, but do not turn right again; instead follow the street to the forest, where a sign points the way towards Unternberg past the castle. The path leads back to the starting point.

Príchod

From Vienna take the A2 South motorway, exit at Edlitz. Drive in the direction of Aspang. Continue on Wechsel Straße/B54 to Aspang. At the roundabout take the third exit (Gutenberggasse). Turn right onto Bahnstraße. Slight right onto Mühlgasse, which curves slightly to the right and becomes Sonneck. Continue on L137 to Unternberg.

From Graz take the A2 South motorway, exit at Aspang. Drive towards Aspang/Zöbern. Turn left onto L137 and follow it to Aspang. Turn right onto Hauptplatz, then immediately left onto Gottsbergergasse. Turn left onto Mühlgasse, which curves slightly to the right and becomes Sonneck. Continue on L137 to Unternberg.

Parking options at the Wexl Arena

From Wiener Neustadt main station, take the regional train (direction Aspang-Markt) to the final stop. Continue with regional bus 369 to the Unternberg stop.
