Ybbs: walking & strolling along the Danube
Beautiful, well-marked footpaths lead through Ybbs - and are also ideal for tired or small feet. Great tips are the Ybbs Time Travel or the short circular route along the Ybbs Cycle Path and Danube and the moderate Ybbser Au-Runde along the water. The panoramic 10-kilometre panorama loop or a stage on the Nibelungengau long-distance hiking trail are suitable for more experienced and enduring hikers - and offer wonderful views of Ybbs and the Danube valley.
From cabaret festival to bicycle museum: excursion tips for Ybbs
A journey through the history of the bicycle awaits in the historic vaults of the Ybbs Bicycle Museum: a wide variety of bicycles, walking bikes, pedal bikes and penny-farthings can be admired here - and some can even be tried out. The Ybbsiade is a unique initiative: since 1989, the municipality has regularly organized a two-week cabaret and cultural festival - with well-known stars of the scene and up-and-coming newcomers. This makes the Ybbsiade the largest and certainly the most important event of its kind in the entire German-speaking region. Other great recurring annual events are the Ybbs Old Town Festival and the "Feuerzauber im Nibelungengau" solstice celebration.
