Annaberg - Tirolerkogel - Eibl - Türnitz

Opis

On the hiking trail, you can enjoy the magnificent flora of the Northern pre-Alps and the great panoramic view of the Alpine pastures of the Tirolerkogels. The route is popular especially in the winter, since it then offers a wonderful view onto the snow-covered Alps. From the Summit of the Tirolerkogels (1377 m above sea level), you can see from Schneeberg to the Gesaeuse and into the northeast alway to the Wachau.

From the large parking lot east of Annaberg (Memorial Cross for avalanche victims of the Scheiblingberglawine (avalanche)), take on the sand street a convenient walk up to the "Gscheid". Here to the left the route ascents ever more steeply to the mountian corner and into the "Specktal" (interesting folds in the Gutensteiner lime stones on the left side of the trail), from where the Halterhütte (hut) is reached soon. Cut across the looping road, and turn left across the slope with its weather trees, while the view on the Annaberger house becomes ever more spectacular. From there, along the Ridge next to the rocky cliffs of the "Ödhofmäuer" and in steadily increasing bends the trail continues through a pine forest to the mountain rescue hut "Österleinbrunn". Here, past sparse forested landscapes ascent onto the "Karnerhofspitz" and over the beautiful ridge area move down to the saddle at the former Eiblhaus. From here turn right onto the Karrenweg (route) and continue through the Schildbachrotte to Türnitz. A return with the postal bus to Annaberg is possible.
