Opis
Za pár minút sa môžete na bicykli dostať z ruchu mesta pozdĺž rieky Traisen do pokojnej prírody v okolí St. Pölten. Prvých niekoľko rovinatých kilometrov pozdĺž rieky je ideálnych na to, aby ste sa bicyklovali a zabudli na každodenný život. Po Herzogenburgu - návšteva opátstva stojí za to! - jazdíte na bicykli perfektne po štrku po úzkych vidieckych cestičkách - niektoré sú asfaltové, iné štrkové - cez vinice v dolnej časti Traisentalu. Zámky Sitzenberg-Reidling a Traismauer ponúkajú kultúru, zatiaľ čo úsek cez Ahrenberger Vínnu uličku vzbudzuje očakávanie návštevy vínnej pivnice.
Cez vrch Paraplui (názov hovorí za všetko -> dáždnik (výhľad!) a vinice Nussdorf ob Traisen a Inzersdorf ob Traisen vás čaká aj niekoľko výškových metrov, kým sa cez Herzogenburg opäť dostanete na Cyklotrasu Traisental a pohodlne sa bicyklom dostanete do St. Pölten. Pred príchodom do centra mesta sa oplatí okúpať v chladných vodách jazera Ratzersdorf.

From the main station, follow the signs toward the Traisen (valley bike path), which is reached after about 1 km. Just a few meters next to the river, it goes flat until Herzogenburg, where you later leave the bike path toward St. Andrä ob der Traisen. From St. Andrä, follow the MTB trekking route "Venusberg-Tour" - it leads over Sitzenberg-Reidling and the Ahrenberger cellar lane to Traismauer. Then head a bit south again on the Traisental bike path to Oberndorf - turn right there to the other side of the S33 to Reichersdorf (against the signage for the "Water to Wine-Tour").
Then follows a climb to Paraplui Mountain with a beautiful view and a short but quite steep descent (CAUTION!!!) down to Nussdorf ob der Traisen. Contrary to the signage of the "Paraplui-Tour" and later the "Water to Wine-Tour," it goes through the vineyards to Inzersdorf ob der Traisen, past Walpersdorf Castle, and over Ederding back to Herzogenburg. The climbs are easy to ride but not to underestimate - gravel and asphalt alternate on narrow field paths.
