Opis
Allentsteig is located in the heart of the Waldviertel with a beautiful town lake, framed by splendid forests and fields. The numerous hiking trails offer relaxation and variety from everyday life in a stress-free environment. Culture enthusiasts can admire two works of art while hiking at the edge of the town lake and in the city center. Those who really want to experience "pure nature" will find the right hiking trails at the edge of the military training area, which lead through untouched natural landscapes.

You walk from Brunnenplatzl towards the town lake along the promenade and pass HORA, a restaurant and wine bar by the lake with a bathing area. From the restaurant, a forest path leads south to the youth meadow. Next to the Lourdes grotto, the tank bridge at the southern end of the lake also offers an exciting photo motif. You return towards Allentsteig below the youth meadow via the lake bridge to Siebenlindenplatz and then turn right there. On the dam stands the landscape meter by the artist Valie Export. From there you head back towards the starting point.

Linz: A 7 towards Freistadt - B 310 to Freistadt - B 38 to Karlstift there turn right and drive to Zwettl - in Zwettl head towards Gmünd on B 36 - at Gerotten turn onto L 67 and drive to Allentsteig.
