On hikes in the Hochmoor Schrems nature park, you can really unwind and enjoy pure nature. Besides numerous ponds and pools, the flora and fauna of the moor landscape are particularly impressive. Cooling is promised by the directly adjacent Moorbad Schrems (free entry), culinary experiences are promised by the numerous inns in Schrems.
Opis
The hiking trail through the Schrems nature park opens up unique fauna and flora of the raised bog to the visitor. On the clear water surfaces of the ponds, you find the swamp iris and the yellow pond lily. Also, the sundew, a representative of the few carnivorous plants of our native flora, can still be found in the Schremser Moor.

The hiking trail through the nature park opens up the unique fauna and flora of the raised bog. Along the water surfaces of old peat pits, you will find the swamp iris and the yellow pond lily. Also, the sundew and bladderwort, representatives of the few carnivorous plants in our native flora, can still be found in the Schremser Moor. Those lucky may also spot the extremely rare moor frog, which finds ideal living conditions here.

Sights along the route: Himmelsleiter – the 20 m high observation tower promises a great view over the beautiful moor landscape. The Prügelsteg leads visitors on wooden posts a bit into the moor, where you can especially well discover the fascinating plant and animal world. You can experience the moor up close at the moor footbath – said to work wonders for tired feet.
