Kaiser Franz Josef Warte - Aussichtswarte Kaisereiche

Horský vrchol, Vyhliadková veža, Vyhliadkový bod

Popis

The lookout point was built in 1888 to mark the 40th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Josef I. It is the highest elevation of the Leitha Mountains in Lower Austria (443 m) and offers a beautiful view over Lake Neusiedl and the lowlands. The lookout is a solid, octagonal, eight-meter-high stone tower with a four-meter-high wooden pavilion on top. In order to provide shelter inside the tower, the stone staircase was built on the outside, and only in the upper part does a wooden staircase lead upwards inside. The view can be enjoyed completely unobstructed, as the tower overlooks the forest.
