Winzerhof Leidenfrost

The Leidenfrost family is now the fifth generation to run the agricultural business with viticulture and cellar management.

Our vineyards are located at the foot of the Manhartsberg in the northern Weinviertel in the town of Pulkau. These comprise around 20 hectares of vineyards, 95% of which are planted with white wine and 5% with red wine vines. Spoiled by the Pannonian climate, rooted in loess and sandy soils, our high-quality grapes for our Grüne Veltliner, also known as Weinviertler DAC, thrive. In addition to our typical regional wine variety, we also cultivate the grape varieties Welschriesling, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Zweigelt, Blauburger and, more recently, Gelber Muskateller and Müller Thurgauer.

Our quality wines are characterized by many years of experience and the latest findings in wine and cellar management. The grapes are quickly transported from the vineyard to our wine cellar for further processing. It is very important to us to work as gently and cleanly as possible in order to produce high-quality wines that are matured in steel tanks.
