Weingut Kitla

The Kitla winery, located in a typical Weinviertel wine cellar lane in the Pulkau valley, has its roots in a small, mixed farm that was taken over by Hans and Andrea in 1987. With the courageous step of specializing exclusively in viticulture, they laid the foundation for today's family business. Through passion and vision, not only has the quality of the wines increased year on year, but the vineyard area has also been expanded to an impressive 17 hectares. With Florian taking over the winery in 2023, the history of the family business continues. A new generation brings fresh ideas and enthusiasm to carry the legacy into the future. The Kitla winery relies on environmentally friendly measures in the care of its vineyards and deliberately refrains from using insecticides and herbicides. Instead, pheromones are used to protect the vines from pests such as the grape berry moth, and weeds are treated purely mechanically.
