Weingut Leopold Figl

The Leopold Figl winery, a traditional family winery, is known for its high-quality wines. After twelve years as cellar master at the Krems winery, Leopold Figl took over the winery in 2013. The vineyards, including Setzen, Sonnleithen and Rosengarten, are located around Wagram ob der Traisen and are characterized by loess soils. The parent rock is conglomerate. The special care of the vineyards and the determination of the optimal harvest time are essential components for the production of the wines. The targeted planning of a modern wine cellar has created optimal conditions for gentle and clean processing of the grapes. The winery is known for its fruity and spicy Grüne Veltliners and Rieslings with well-balanced acidity. A specially vinified "Blanc de Blancs" sparkling wine made from Chardonnay grapes using the traditional method crowns the range.
