Winzerhof & Gästehaus Stöger
VinárPopis
Winzerhof Stöger in Dürnstein is a family-run business that has been cultivating the art of winemaking with passion and dedication for four generations. Under the management of Gregor Stöger, first-class wines are produced on almost 4 hectares of vineyards in renowned locations such as Supperin, Hollerin, Wunderburg and Oberhauser. Particularly noteworthy is the Grüne Veltliner, which thrives in the Oberhauser Riede and is considered the house's flagship Veltliner. A mineral Riesling that reflects the diversity of the terroir is also vinified on the steep Schreiberberg primary rock site in Weissenkirchen. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks in order to bring out the fruit character and soil characteristics in the best possible way.
Guests of the Winzerhof can enjoy the wines in a cozy wine tavern with a view of the Danube or in the romantic courtyard under the vine arbor. The menu includes homemade specialties such as Geselchtes, Saumaise and Blunze, accompanied by crisp salads and fresh Laberln. The wine tavern opens on selected dates throughout the year, including April, May, June, August and October.
For overnight guests, the Winzerhof offers comfortable accommodation in a lovingly designed guest house with natural wood furniture. There are five double rooms and three vacation apartments available, starting with a rich breakfast buffet. The romantic garden with a view of the Danube invites you to relax. For guests interested in wine, wine tastings are offered outside the Heurigen times, giving an insight into the wine production and the philosophy of the house.
Winzerhof Stöger is therefore not only a place for wine lovers, but also for anyone who wants to experience the Wachau in its authentic form.
