2 castles, 2 bridges: Around the cycle bridge "VysoMarch" and the "Freedom Cycle Bridge" there is a 25 km circular route in the border region near Marchegg Castle and Hof Castle.
Opis
Cyklotúra začína na železničnej stanici v Marcheggu a vedie severným smerom k hradu Marchegg. Odtiaľ sa vydajte na východ a prejdite cez most cez rieku Moravu na Slovensko. Tam sa vydáte na bicykli po Ceste železnej opony (EV13) a v Devínskej Novej Vsi prekročíte rieku Moravu späť do Rakúska. Potom sa na bicykli vydáte priamo okolo zámku Hof a potom opäť na sever späť na železničnú stanicu Marchegg.

Opis trasy Königliche Runde
The starting point of the round is Marchegg station. The route first leads to Marchegg Castle. From there it goes over the VysoMarch cycle bridge into Slovakia and along the Iron Curtain Trail (EuroVelo 13) through the March floodplains to the Freedom Cycle Bridge to Devínska Nová Ves. Back in Austria, the route leads to Hof Castle. From there, you follow the Kamp-Thaya-March cycle path, pass the settlement Heimatland, and finally return to the starting point. The route passes through an impressive landscape with views of side arms of the March and extensive – depending on the water level – partly flooded floodplain meadows.
Príchod
From Vienna Donaustadt on B8 towards Gänserndorf and then on B49 towards Marchegg.
On the A4 to Fischamend, then continue on B9 at Hainburg over the Danube bridge towards Marchegg.

There is ample parking around Marchegg station.
