Beautiful circular route from Purgstall via Saffen to Scheibbs and back via Hochweinberg. Moderate inclines on low-traffic side roads and a beautiful view over the Erlauf valley.

We start in the centre of Purgstall at the Erlauf from the washplace. On the Ötscherland cycle route we follow the Erlauf river to Saffen near Scheibbs. Before the hospital we cycle left up to the Heuberg. (Snack station Cornelia Hofmarcher, Scheibbsbach 7, by appointment, 0664-1433 290). After Hochweinberg, it goes with slight up and down inclines past Hochpyhra and the Erb houses. At House Aschlberg, it goes left downhill back to Purgstall.
