Burg Plankenstein

Feel like a damsel and knight, spend a fairytale time at Plankenstein Castle.

There are various activities on site for young and old in and around the castle: Castle tours, scavenger hunts, knights' games, knights' dinners (in medieval dress if desired), ceramics lessons, climbing park (22 routes from grade 4 to 8, bouldering rock), torchlight hikes, etc.
There are many hiking and cycling trails to explore in the immediate vicinity. The popular biking route, which runs from the Pielachtal valley into the Texingtal valley, passes right by the castle, providing the perfect opportunity for a break or overnight stay. Dogs are also welcome in the entire area of Plankenstein Castle!
