Múzeum
Popis
The Zistersdorf town museum is located in the historic Meierhof and extends over five rooms, in which the history of the 800-year-old town is told. Documents, architectural relics and much more can be admired here, and there are also regularly changing special exhibitions.
An important and economically significant part of the town's history is the discovery and extraction of oil from the 1930s onwards. The town museum has dedicated an entire room to this extremely interesting part. In addition to oil, brick-making was an important economic mainstay, especially in the first half of the 20th century. Various bricks from different decades, which were produced in the Zistersdorf brickworks, can also be admired in the museum.
Films from the past are shown in the small museum cinema.
