The wine town Traiskirchen is located in the southern Vienna Woods in the thermal region and has the oldest observatory in Lower Austria, the Franz-Kroller-astronomical observatory. The city museum Traiskirchen is located in the listed building of the Möllersdorfer branch factory of the former Vöslauer Kammgarnfabrik and shows extensive spectacular collections. Other attractions include Tribuswinkel Castle, the parish church of St. Margaretha, the Urbanus Chapel and the Marian and Holy Trinity columns on the main square.
