Milchliebe

Allhartsberg is a tranquil market town in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel district of Amstetten. The village is located on the right bank of the Ybbs and at the foot of the Sonntagberg and is surrounded by many opportunities for excursions in the countryside.

In the midst of this natural idyll, surrounded by meadows and forests, the young couple Helen and Philipp Brandstetter run the Wegbauerhof farm. The farm consists of 17 hectares of grassland and 2 hectares of forest and is run conventionally as a full-time business. The main focus of the farm, dairy farming, is provided by 39 cattle on the farm; the milk is also sold directly. Two goats, some chickens and two cats also live on the farm.

The Brandstetters have set themselves the goal of passing on their enthusiasm for nature and understanding of natural processes through educational programs, as well as promoting appreciation for farm work. Farm school has been offered at Wegbauerhof since 2023. Children learn in a playful way where our food comes from ("From the meadow to the yogurt jar", "What does the cow do - apart from moo?").

Helen and Philipp Brandstetter are taking a further step with their Green Care offer "Arrive - be welcome - make experiences - create memories".

Celebrations and team events are also offered on the farm:

- Children's birthday parties on the farm
- Team building on the farm
- Family time on the farm

The Wegbauerhof sees itself as a place to come home to yourself. Visitors gain valuable life experience through active participation in farm life and contact with the animals. Farming activities are experienced both playfully and in real life - for example during milking exercises with rubber milking cows or looking after the goats. The final snack naturally includes preparation such as churning butter and the informative processing of meadow and forest herbs.

Helen Brandstetter is a qualified nurse and nature and adventure educator, Philipp Brandstetter is a skilled agricultural worker and master craftsman. Three generations of the couple - including the parents and their young son - live on the farm.
